What is Unity?
Unity is a positive, practical, and progressive approach to Christianity, grounded in Jesus’ teachings and the power of prayer. It honors universal truths in all religions and respects each individual’s spiritual journey.

God
God is love—the one power, ever-present, all wisdom. God is divine energy, continuously creating, expressing, sustaining, and healing all life. In God, we live and move and have our being. In Unity, we refer to God as Life, Light, Love, Principle, and Universal Mind.

Jesus
Jesus embodied divine potential, showing us how to do the same. As a master teacher and Way-Shower, his example reveals the innate divinity within all humankind. Jesus healed physically, emotionally, and mentally, demonstrating the transformative power of spiritual awakening.

The Nature of Humankind
We are eternal expressions of God—divine, inherently good, and capable of profound healing. As we awaken to our spiritual nature, God expresses more fully through our lives.

The Bible
Unity co-founders, Charles and Myrtle Fillmore, studied the Bible as a record of spiritual evolution. The Fillmores were drawn to healing as a central theme, recognizing the Bible as a valuable resource for transformation and awakening.

Our Teachings
Unity teaches that recognizing our divine nature transforms our lives and the world. Through the creative power of thought—known as the Law of Mind Action—we shape our experiences. Applying spiritual principles daily fosters healing, growth, and abundance.

Prayer and Meditation
Affirmative prayer and meditation connect us with God, releasing limiting beliefs and opening us to divine wisdom and healing.

Youth and Family Ministry
